Mom Maps is a San Francisco start-up with a vision of connecting parents with the the products and services that best meet their needs. Our goal is to build an innovative web and mobile application that is easy and fun to use and also helps connect parents with business that can best serve them.

Work directly with the co-founders to develop the initial product demo and beyond
Work with future product users to develop a thoughtfully designed web application

Mom Maps is looking for a brilliant web developer to help us execute our plan that could change the parents find good venues. This person will work side-by-side with the co-founders in an effort to achieve the best product possible. We encourage people to think critically, question everything, and take ownership.
Essential Skills
- Ample experience in web development and design
- Lamp Stack Experience (Python, Pylons, HTML, CSS, XHTML, XML, Javascript, JQuery, Ajax, JSON, etc…) along with related technologies
- Project will deal with social media platform
- Strict adherence to cross-browser & cross-platform compatibility (CSS framework experience a plus
- Experience with social network APIs such as Facebook Connect, Twitter OAuth, Google Maps, etc.
- Produce and oversee project timelines to ensure timely delivery of finished product
- An understanding of advanced data aggregation methods
- Skills are required in the areas of database design and implementation, php, mysql, javascript frameworks (extjs, jQuery, etc.)
- Experience with UX design and implementation
Compensation
Currently, this is an equity only position as a co-founder, a vesting period is preferred. Based on progression, this initiative could move in several different directions once crucial milestones are reached (profitability and/or venture/angel funding). There are certainly several options available once these crucial milestones have been reached and we’re willing to entertain anything that we deem to be fair and equitable. (If there’s a fit, we’ll make it work!)
