MUSIC FOR YOUR NOVEL
Atmosphere is an application that resides on any e-reader (like the Kindle or iPad), when you open your book to read, Atmopshere analyzes the text and searches for keywords that set the mood of the scene, then connects to a wireless streaming music service and finds a match, playing a soundtrack that is customized to the book you’re reading, enhancing the reading experience in the same way movie score enhances a film.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR
A co-founder with technology/coding experience to help in the pre-launch phase. The basic concept “assigning something to mood” is at the core of this business, I have another project on this theme for the social networking space, so I’m looking for a partner to grow and expand this concept with.
WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?
In Los Angeles. I’d prefer to work with someone who is in the LA area.
WHAT STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT IS THIS BUSINESS?
Sorting through revenue models, getting bids from third party developers, talking to VC’s, learning what I can about the streaming music and e-book space, filed a provisional patent on the method.
WHO AM I?
I work in the animation industry, and run two small companies here in California.
COMPENSATION
This is an equity only position. All the terms are flexible, but probably best to work together
on a trial basis in the beginning. And since it’s equity only, I understand and I am totally OK with
a co-founder that has a day job. As long as you have the time and energy to devote to this project and can answer emails during the day, we can certainly work something out for the right person.
